When astronauts blast off from the planet Mars, they leave behind Mark Watney, presumed dead after a fierce storm. I love this movie. This is another one of my comfort movies. Watched it countless times. I think this movie is actually what got me into Andy Weir. After I watched this movie I read the book and also loved it. His writing is inspiring. Such smooth storytelling. The cast is full of wonderful actors that really bring a lot to the movie. Re-watchability is obviously super high for me. If I could go back and see this in the theatres I would in a second. The only thing that could have made this better is if he too ended up with an alien buddy.
