Adapted from Enid Blyton's beloved classic novel The Magic Faraway Tree, the film centers on Polly (Claire Foy), Tim (Andrew Garfield), and their three children -- a modern family forced to relocate to the remote English countryside. As they adapt to their new lives, the children discover a magical tree and its extraordinary and eccentric residents, including treasured characters Moonface (Nonso Anozie), Silky (Nicola Coughlan), Dame Washalot (Jessica Gunning), and Saucepan Man (Dustin Demri-Burns). At the top of the tree, they are transported to spectacular, fantastical lands, and through the joys and challenges of their adventures, the family learns to reconnect and value each other for the first time in years.

I LOVED THIS! It was my fav childhood book growing up and I honestly think it’s why I’ve kept my childlike wonder and imagination. I loved the movie, the actors, the modern concept with technology. I can’t wait for my children to read the book and watch this movie

As a parent who read the books to my children, just as my mother read them to me as a child, I was both excited and fearful when I saw the movie was being made. Could the magic of the pages translate to the big screen?? Whilst the movie has been adapted to fit modern times, the heart and soul of the Magical Faraway Tree still shines through. When you allow yourself to get lost, and watch the movie through the eyes of your children, the values of family, friendship, belief, and perseverance shine through. You can't help but become enamoured with the tree's residences and how they make you laugh and smile throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and my kids (like those portrayed on the big screen) realised what fantasy worlds exist away when their step away from the phones/tablets...

The movie was ok, but it just didn’t give me that sense of adventure I was hoping for. The characters weren’t that special and I kept losing interest while watching it.

Didn't know about these books and I just fell in love of this movie. 😍 It's just perfect: the cast, the story, the production, the direction, the script, the fantasy. And, oh my God! "The family song": A big smile was drawn on my face in that part with watered eyes. Thanks a lot for creating this jewel to the Producers, Writers, the Director and the cast. We need more movies like these. A new favorite fantasy and family movie to be included in my top list. 😊
