The uselessness of a walking squid is the most dreadful thing I ever had to watch, you can tell this story is fake from the obnoxiousness and stupidity of the ending, like bro no way the "monsters" killed all those people for 5 years and they just walk away when they see you cut a rope. They went with deep sea monsters. The survival aspect was actually pretty accurate and the family had the brains enough to create food and water sources.
