04/25/2020 This is Korean's version of a timeloop story. A good mystery but it lacks the thrill compared to other film of the same genre. I would say it has more drama. LOL. I would blame that it only relies on a single twist. Sins of the past. Somewhat 'changing lanes' type of rivalry. Its good if you wanna pass some time but not unforgettable like 'the jacket' or 'groundhog day'. See more 05/12/2018 Director Hong Sang-soo, once again, puts huge effort into delivering a non-pretentious, overly human and interactively strong drama, this time, holding upon the foundations of questionings and doubts towards the deep grounds of love and its consistency, dealing with infidelity, treason and doubt, all from a simple-yet-effective point of view towards a tormented main character that might reflect the director's own personal struggle in such a fashion way. See more 12/30/2017 There's something inherently icky about seeing subdued maestro Hong Sang-Soo dive into soap-opera antics. His farcical joy appears occasionally, but this uncharacteristically solemn approach doesn't bode well when he's simultaneously being his most straightforward and slight in years. But the korean Woody Allen, Sang-soo Hong proves to be good in creating horizontal and static camera movement, while developing good dialogues and characters, which are complemented by Hae-hyo Kwon's and Min-hee Kim's acting talent. The movie is refreshing, calm, different and, despite the controverse plot, smooth. Some shots, dialogues and voice overs were, well ... meh. Hope to sse a better project from this director.
