Peter Taylor (Kevin Bacon), his wife Bronny and their two children return to Los Angeles after a fun-filled vacation to the Grand Canyon. Strange events soon start to plague the family, including young son Michael's increasingly erratic behavior. The Taylors learn that Michael brought back some mysterious rocks that he discovered inside a cave. Unfortunately, something followed them home as the clan now find themselves in a battle with a supernatural force that preys on their worst fears.

basically every post on this entire website has a 5 star rating from "Stephen C". it's obviously a bot because it writes the same formulaic nonsense about the runtime and adds a bunch of exclamation points in every single review. i have reported it many times for many years with zero results, and it's become obscenely obvious that this is some kind of extremely cheap effort on the company's behalf to further inflate ratings past their inane system of "50% means you recommend it!". get your f*****g s**t together, rotten tomatoes. nobody trusts these ratings, everyone cross references them with other sites.

Started off ok, but got dumber and dumber as it went along, i fast forwarded to the end, predictable, been done a gazillion times before. It was well acted and I like Kevin Bacon but this was not his finest hour.

I fell asleep during this once. Probably because I can't stand stupid movies about dumb children. Not every horror movie has to have a kid in it just for the sake of throwing one into the plot.

Synopsis
