Benjamin W @Code70 Sep 12, 2026 Yeah, this wasn’t that great. It’s just- like so many godforsaken streaming movies- so mediocre. It’s passably entertaining, I like the cast enough, and it’s cool to see a pirate movie be so bloody. But there’s nothing to latch onto beyond any of that. Visually, it’s tacky (the final battle especially, is overlit like crazy, with some very noticeable green-screen), there’s little to no real emotional resonance or actual character work, and it, beyond anything, just feels like an excuse to see Priyanka Chopra be a badass pirate lady. Like, I swear there’s 50 different times in this movie where our antagonists are just talking about how formidable and amazing she is, with many feeling like they’re there solely for that. Like, how many times can you restate the exact same point? We got it the first time! So yeah. Like, I didn’t hate this or anything, it just didn’t really do anything for me, and I probably won’t remember a second of it next week. Bodden and while pillaging the ship, he finds a golden bar with his mark. He kills the whole crew and heads to the Cayman Brac Island where Broden lives with his wife, Ercell, their son Issac and his sister Elizabeth looking for his stolen treasure of gold. When the pirates arrive, they kill most of the men in the island. However, Ercell is the former Captain Blood Mary, who was kidnapped when she was a child and trained by Connor, and will do anything to save his son and rescue her husband. "The Bluff" (2026) is a great pirate adventure, with beautiful locations in the Caribe. Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Karl Urban have top-notch performances and the cinematography and the action scenes are stunning. However, the invincibility of Connor, and the stupidities and dialogs of Elizabeth, are the weak part. My vote seven. See more Phantom S @ph4nt0m Jun 27, 2026 First of all, this film has no connection to Cayman Brac. That one is large limestone bluff stretching through all the island. In fact, it is the island. No caymans or crocodiles there and have never been. No rivers as well, because it's limestone. No jungles, just bushes and small crooked trees, again, because it's limestone. Second, the course of action is highly predictable and utterly unrealistic. Priyanka Chopra single handedly and in a quite sadistic way eliminates the whole pirate crew with Karl Urban in charge who acted like Butcher in The Boys. Considering that Chopra was beaten to half death in the beginning by two athletic pirates, then caught a bullet in her leg somewhere in the middle of the film, having her succeed further against the rest of pirate crew had no credibility at all. Many outside scenes look like AI made. The acting in general is not impressive either. The characters of Elizabeth (Safia Oakley-Green) and Issac (Vedanten Naidoo) are rather annoying.
