To win the heart of his beloved, a young man named Tristan ventures into the realm of fairies to retrieve a fallen star. Crossing it is prohibited as it leads to a magical realm where nothing is to be believed and no-one is to be trusted. Such a charming fantasy love story with an incredible cast and this banger of a theme song.

A classic fairy tale with good humor and plenty of visual imagination. However, it leaned too heavily on bombastic action and effects at the expense of character development. The makeup and some of the special effects also look a bit dated now.

Loved this movie growing up and reminds me of my sister. It's a great fantasy movie that, upon a rewatch, has some issues that are harder to ignore but nevertheless, I still love the smile this movie pretty much always brings me. It was my princess bride growing up and I see how it was influenced by it. It's not perfect, but it gets the love for the feels it provides

If you’re looking for something whimsical and fairytale like movie then that’s definitely something you will enjoy. It’s not one of the best movies of the genre but it’s pretty decent. Michelle Pfeiffer is so good as a villain, I liked her in Maleficent (2019) and I liked her in this. Robert De Niro is another highlight of this movie, he was great in this, I loved his role and how he delivered. He brought to this film exactly what was needed to make it more fun and entertaining. When it comes to Yvaine - that’s where they missed the mark imo. I feel like they should’ve cast someone else for this role. But in general the whole movie is a vibe, I think it’s worth a watch.
