Ian F. @thismeansguerra 22h Watching a Man Risk His Life… Live on Netflix 😰 Skyscraper Live had my palms sweating from my couch. Alex Honnold free solo climbs a skyscraper—no ropes, no safety net—live. It’s breathtaking. It’s terrifying. And it made me wonder: should we even be watching this? When the stakes are someone’s life, where does inspiration end and exploitation begin? See more Peyton W @CCHS_Football_2834 1d I can't believe that he survived that See more Diana P @dianapowers 1d Alex was great. I am a big fan of his. The announcers were unimpressive and the vibe set fell short of what it could have been. Too bad. See more J C @PearlJ65 2d As others have said, the event was incredible. I can't believe I saw a human being do that. But the commentary was atrocious. Really irritating. Kept muting the volume, so distracting and unnecessary. It's like they feel the need to fill every moment with blather, as if just shutting up and letting us watch this is a no-no. It's a pretty intense experience, let us have it without pointless yammering. It should have been quiet, hearing whatever Alex says when he says it, and Emily, the actual climber, could have given the audience some useful info, but that's it. Duncan and Rollins - not one minute in, my husband said "I can't listen to them." If Netflix can release it without all the useless dithering in the background, it'd be swell. Have Alex narrate it. See more Dennis D @DennyD 2d 5 stars for Alex, unbelievable!! Now, having to sit through the excruciatingly painful commentary makes you mute the show completely or skip through the entire climb to the end. Absolutely horrible! Could they have found a worse group of idiots saying the dumbest cringing shit?!! Show would've been great to experience only listening to Alex and surroundings. Would have felt like we were on the climb with him. Instead, I'd rather jump off the building than listen to those useless baboons. Please learn from this Netflix ugh See more Non P @NonPC 2d Amazing to watch. Alex really does inspire. Commentary was beyond awful. Continually talking over Alex as he spoke. So annoying. The WWE guy was especially awful. Added nothing to the show, and repeatedly spoke how 'crazy' Alex was for doing this. Would have been nice to have male professional climber there to balance the female commentary. See more Read all reviews
