Inspired by real events, the film blends mob politics, insurance fraud, and street-level violence into a story about betrayal and survival. With its flashy suits, smoky interiors, and larger-than-life criminals, the movie clearly aims to capture the energy of classic gangster films like Goodfellas and Casino from the 80s and early 90s. Overall, this film remains an enjoyable crime drama with a lot of style and ambition behind it. It may not always execute its story perfectly, but it succeeds in creating an engaging gangster atmosphere and delivering strong performances. Some of the ‘5 star reviews’ I have read above stated ‘terrific acting’ ‘great action’ ‘incredible movie’ so on and so forth… We tried to watch this but IT’S SOO BAAAD! Maybe I need some horse tranquilliser to dumb myself down first? The acting is absolutely AWFUL and the plot? Honestly, who cares about the plot with actors this bad? It ruins the whole vibe, right? I looked at ratings before watching this but should have looked closer, go on, read some of these reviews… they’re not written by humans. From the very beginning, the film draws you in with its stunning visuals, strong performances, and engaging storyline. The lead actors delivered powerful performances, especially Ciro dalagio who brought such depth and emotion to their character. The direction was sharp, the pacing perfect, and the soundtrack added a whole new layer of intensity and emotion. What stood out the most was how the movie balanced entertainment with a meaningful message — something not every film pulls off well. Terrific acting, story, pacing, action -- it's a terrific watch. It feels a little like Good Fellas mixed with the Departed. It was unique to have the setting in Miami, and the director really captures that atmosphere - Miami in the 80s. Betrayal, violence, laughs, pretty ladies, etc. But most of all it has great acting, directing, writing and editing. It has the real feel of Miami in the 80's. Plenty of “oh shit” moments, some chuckles sprinkled in too. Like when of Valentine’s street guys tells him to “get the fried steak” or when one of the targets complains about his bloody nose. From the epic cars, to the seaside scenes and overhead shots and the nightlife, it was one helluva ride! Valentine’s last line is hilarious!
