See more Will 04/25/2023 Kelly Reichart creates wonderful character pieces that only appear mundane to the inattentive. Her ordinary settings host stories of quiet ambition and perseverance, and Showing Up is her best since the underrated Night Moves. The characters seem cold and distant from one another, but gradually bond over seemingly inconsequential things like wounded birds, broken water heaters and neighborhood art shows. Michelle Williams continues to be one of our most surprising and adventurous actors. See more James D 04/22/2023 Extremely well directed and acted film. You almost feel like you are watching a documentary. It will appeal to people who like intelligent, character-driven films but not those looking for a lot of action, a fast pace, or wild plot twists.
