Even though Seimetz’s ‘ideological contagion’ might have its roots in coping strategies for depression and a range of mental health issues, the director works wonders by imagining how one might react upon learning about their imminent death.

Just as the characters’ reactions vary, the individual viewing experience will differ dependant on how each person views the notion of death. Some will let it wash over them while for some it will be the equivalent of a bad trip.

Weird and completely useless movie thats a waste of time. How this movie has a 5/10 score on IMDB is a mystery. Don’t waste 1 hour and 22 minutes of your life.

She Dies Tomorrow is a film that invites multiple interpretations, which is one of its greatest strengths. I personally read it as a meditation on mental health; specifically how dread and anxiety can spread to those around you when expressed openly, almost like an invisible and deeply uncomfortable disease. At the same time, the film also works as a existential/cosmic horror, where some unknown force infects its victims with an unshakable certainty of death. That said, the pacing is painfully slow. The film builds tension relentlessly, but the payoff feels minimal, and it could have benefited from more action or narrative momentum. Despite its flaws, the movie left me with an unsettling question: "If I knew I would die tomorrow, what would I do and say today?". That lingering impact makes it hard to dismiss this movie. It's a great movie to make you think, and I think that's the point the director wanted to make.
