What it lacks in cinematographic skills, it more than compensates for in moral beauty. And the solid information it provides, to children and adults, and its undisguised message of indignation and its cry for help are an appeal to our intelligence. Go to Full Review

Leaburn O @RT35452347 May 18 One of the better early winners of the Academy award for best documentary feature. A pretty amazing documentary of these pioneering zoologists. They track herds and live out in the wild with the big six animals of the Serengeti. Sadly the heavily featured son actually died whilst flying during his research and during filming. In the stoic days when this was made there was no need to reference it or commemorate him in the film. It goes unsaid remarkably. The nature pictures are as beautiful as anything caught on camera in our more sophisticated age. Well worth a watch. Saw it in DVD after searching for it for quite a while. See more Read all reviews
