The 2025 Running Man was written for 3 year old kids at daycare centers. Glen Powell is a good up and coming actor, I have no idea why he agreed to make it. Judging the original on its own, it comes across as dated, inconsistent, and oddly unfocused. The story had a solid concept, but the execution leaned too hard into exaggerated sci-fi elements that now feel more distracting than thrilling. Instead of developing real tension or meaningful stakes, the film feels stuck between being a futuristic spectacle and a pseudo-military action movie, never fully committing to either. There was clearly potential here, but the screenplay doesn’t explore it in a way that feels relevant or engaging today. The pacing is uneven, the world-building feels shallow, and the tone often undercuts what could have been a sharper, more intense narrative. Watching it now feels more like observing a relic of its time than experiencing a compelling story. While the effects and tone are unmistakably dated, the message still lands. See more letaiser Jan 3 This Movie is pretty bad but still fun to watch, the acting is so hilarious that it is funny. The Idea of the Movie is pretty great so for that reason im glad they made a Remake for this Movie that I haven't watched yet but this movie could've been a lot better even though it was made in 1987. The story build up just isn't that great and there are some scenes that are kind of hard to watch but overall it is not terrible, just not good either.
