Kim F @GreenRaven Jan 5 I enjoy low budget science fiction. Interesting casting choices and a wide range of skill. For me it was a hard story to follow. The pieces i needed to connect to reach the ending didn't stick out and rather than the ending I hoped for it was something else entirely. I'd like to see more from the writers. And telling asides, dialogue without the benefit of sufficient backstory, and directing your actors to stand around looking wistful, morose, or awaiting doom does not cut it. And aliens as a twisted deus ex machina is so old a device that even television won't use it. About the only thing going for the movie is its production values. It does not look like a student film even if the plot looks like the work of the best student ever to graduate from a third rate college's media program. Their professors might have told them they should head for Hollywood, and if they did, perhaps they got a job reading a studio's slush pile.
