Darren D @DarrenJD 3 days ago For a story that begins with a violent death after a foot chase through the streets of Hong Kong, the misery continues with a father's final words revealing a dark family secret. "Roaring Fire" isn't a straightforward classic of 1980s action films focused on betrayal and vengeance because, in between the mean-spirited violence, the film also features an odd sense of goofball humour with topless ladies because a monkey stole their tops, and a swimming pool fight involving a cigar-chomping wrestler. Let's not forget the charismatic Sonny Chiba as a mysterious magician. Despite all the goofball antics, a film starring three legends, Hiroyuki Sanada, Etsuko Shihomi, and Sonny Chiba, is almost guaranteed to have plenty of stunt work and entertaining fight sequences across various locations from Hong Kong to Japan, including a team-up between Sanada and Chiba as they battle through the vast corridors of an office building.
