Prima ballerina Dominika Egorova faces a bleak and uncertain future after she suffers an injury that ends her career. She soon turns to Sparrow School, a secret intelligence service that trains exceptional young people to use their minds and bodies as weapons. Egorova emerges as the most dangerous Sparrow after completing the sadistic training process. Brilliant. Very well written and directed. Pay attention though, or else you will also be of the opinion that it contains "thin characters and a convoluted story". Nothing is spoon-fed in this movie. Whole stellar cast excels in character. Great storyline, cinematography, location settings and cinematically captivating. One of the better spy thrillers ever. Very entertaining and gripping

Slow and needlessly disturbing. Designed for shock and awe. Nothing interesting here. Unless you want to see Jennifer Lawrence naked again and then hear her tell us how uncomfortable she was getting naked.. again..

Whitful and thrilling, the movie is an espionage classic! The acting, cinematography, and picture quality was utterly exceptional. Twists I never saw coming, and you never knew up until the end where the red sparrow's loyalties truly laid. She started off as a wounded bird, but the red sparrow overcame the major adversity against her to become the leader of the flock and in control of her own destiny. She used the skills she learned to influence and determine her own fate.

I’m American & this felt fresh & new watching it now. Maybe I’m just sick of bad movies in 2026. It moves at pace I enjoy at my age. Casting could have been different, obviously, but idk if Americans would have enjoyed it as much without one of our top stars playing the lead- but who knows? I turn off a lot of new AI movies, but this one made me watch until the end, at least.
