Six years after he saved the day at his beloved New Jersey shopping mall, security guard Paul Blart (Kevin James) is taking a well-deserved vacation. In recognition for his hard work, he's won an all-expenses-paid trip to a security convention in Las Vegas, and decides to take his teenage daughter, Maya (Raini Rodriguez), with him. True to form, however, Paul just can't relax and take it easy, so when he uncovers a criminal threat to the hotel, he springs into action.

Can't say this is a great sequel and it definitely suffers from a retred of the first film but in Vegas, though I praise it for having been shot there, it feels very out of place and the original is certainly better and Kevin James isn't even likable in this. Terrible story, bad plotting. It does have a few good jokes that do land, but is mostly forgotten and for a good reason. Watch if you're a fan, but I would say leave it alone if you're not...well, watch the original it's better.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 is a 2015 American action comedy film directed by Andy Fickman and written by Kevin James and Nick Bakay. It was produced by Todd Garner, Kevin James, Adam Sandler and Jack Giarraputo. It stars Kevin James, Raini Rodriguez, Neal McDonough and Shirley Knight. It was produced by LStar Capital, Happy Madison Productions, Hey Eddie and Broken Road Productions. It was distributed by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Releasing. It is the sequel to 2009’s Paul Blart: Mall Cop. Filming began in April, 2014 at the Wynn Las Vegas casino resort. It was released the following year on April 17th, 2015. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 was the first film shot at the resort. Vision wrote: "the film follows Paul, the mall security guard who is invited to a security officers convention in Las Vegas and must stop a heist. It also follows the ever-expanding list of wretched movie sequels which ultimately flopped the franchise. It is a poor continuation to the story. Shirley Knight as mom went too early and too poorly. Admire the securities trade show in Las Vegas. Brilliant attachment to the story. Admire the piece about the hierarchy of security guards. Again, goofy performances all around by Kevin James. What a funny finish! Two fries for trying!"

Synopsis
