"Outcome" is a dark comedy that centers on Reef Hawk (Keanu Reeves), a beloved Hollywood star who must dive into the depths of his hidden demons after he is extorted with a mysterious video that's sure to shatter his image and end his career. With the support of his lifelong besties Kyle (Cameron Diaz) and Xander (Matt Bomer), along with his crisis lawyer Ira (Jonah Hill), Reef embarks on a soul-searching journey to make amends with anyone he could have possibly wronged in hopes of identifying the blackmailer. Co-writer and director Hill brings a unique lens to Reef's wild but spiritually cleansing, nostalgic and eye-opening trip down memory lane, where confronting his past might be the only way to rescue his future.

It’s hard to imagine this mumbling, shambling man holding multiplex masses in his thrall. As such, he’s a poignant void, but a void nonetheless, and even at a slim 84 minutes, Hill’s doleful film can’t keep us interested in his plight.

I am not even a Keanu fan and I really liked this movie. I thought it had depth and humor and sincerity. It’s simple in its plot, by design. But very touching.

Even at 83 minutes, Outcome was a slog to get through and had absolutely no momentum. "Talking movies" like these need to have something else driving them—maybe Hill thought the humor would get it done—but this never really got going.

Not sure why this is getting killed in the comments. This turned out to be a weird dark comedy that turned out sweet in the end. Great cast and handled a complex topic in a simple way. Making up for your past isn’t easy but it’s not impossible. I liked this movie!

As dull as a plastic spoon. It's about this guy, he's in a crappy mood, and then his agent?... or whoever that guy is, he talks for over an hour. And then his friends try to cheer him up in a half assed kinda way. And then... I'm not sure what else. More dull stuff. and then that's it, that's pretty much it. Excruciating waste of time. Easily the worst movie of the year.
