I think it is a love story but I was too interested in the weirdness to pay any attention to that. Such a fun experience that I'm sure I'll never feel again with any film! Also, the main actress, Rea Lest, did a formidable job, you can see both wolves - the wild and the docile - in her eyes.

Wonderful gothic fairy tale. Haunting but amusing and silly at the same time, in this way it reminded me of The Seventh Seal. Many have criticised the overall plot as too straightforward, but who cares when there is so much tangential weirdness at play? Brilliant soundtrack to boot.
