Stefan L @HamzaFeels May 17 After being impressed with the documentary Homeless, I looked up the director’s previous films, and I ended up watching Not to Forget. Every now and then, you come across a film that doesn’t rely on spectacles or dramatic twists to leave an impression. Not to Forget is that kind of movie. It’s simple, sincere, and quietly emotional — a film that slowly grows on you. What makes Not to Forget different is its attempt to deal with illness through the perspective of a young caregiver. It doesn’t try too hard to force emotions or manipulate viewers into tears. What stayed with me most about the film is how personal it feels. It reminded me that some of the most meaningful stories are not the loudest ones, this is the kind of film that may catch you off guard — not because it overwhelms you, but because it gently reminds you of things we often forget to value.
