Horror fan 4 @Horrorfan4life 3 days ago Well this was a twisted little film about a Finnish home and Forrest that seems to be haunted? Nevertheless Rupert Grint is back!!!! It's been awhile since I seen him in a movie.. Jon and saga movie to a Finnish Forrest and are eager to start a big family. This baby is evil and I'm here for it. The ending was crazy good. Its strongest element is the relationship between Saga and Kora, supported by striking Finnish locations, oppressive forest imagery, and an atmosphere that is often more disturbing than the film’s explicit horror. The cast is effective, particularly in the quieter psychological moments, while the story smartly keeps us questioning whether Saga is experiencing a mental collapse or genuinely confronting something supernatural. Unfortunately, the film loses some of that ambiguity in its second half, where exaggerated performances and more explicit visual horror replace the subtle tension of the opening. Still, Nightborn is an ambitious and often disturbing horror film whose ideas are considerably stronger than some of its more excessive choices. See more Alex B @AlexBioni Sep 4, 2026 Make Me a Mother I like that this depicts postpartum depression and the struggles mothers go through after having a baby. People telling you what they think is best instead of listening to the parents is frustrating. I'm a father of one with a second on the way, so I understand some of Saga's struggle. Saidi Haarla was very good in this. I only watched it because Rupert Grint is in it. I don't understand how Jon and others don't think something is wrong with the baby. I'd be questioning everything, while they're like, "Oh look, isn't that cute?" They're so nonchalant. Maybe seeing things through Saga's eyes explains some of it, but I'm still torn. The blood also looks fake. This movie isn't scary. For a folklore movie, there isn't much explanation of the folklore beyond some side conversations, and nothing is confirmed, just pieces. The story is too thin, and I don't think I'll watch it again, but I liked the message. In the end, a mother always knows what's best for her child.
