While the student/teacher romance never played sat well, Barrymore and Vartan have great chemistry (and it is *slightly* excusable as an adaptation of As You Like It). Otherwise this fish out of water film is totally rufus: sweet and charming.

Not gonna lie this movie was really weird and did not sit well. Lots of illegal relationships, and everyone kind of just accepted it which was a little sus.. kind of odd that the teacher only liked Josie when she was a high school student and rejected her when she told him she was 25. Same thing about her brother. He was dating a 16-year-old and almost had sex with her. Although I do not recommend this movie to anybody, the soundtrack was fire.
