Between the thrilling action scenes, excellent chemistry between the actors, memorable soundtrack, and moments that allow us to empathise with the antagonists (!), "The Mummy Returns" turns out to be a pleasant surprise. [Full review in Spanish].

[Stephen] Sommers is a pure pop Stephen Spielberg but this chapter is less 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' than 'Gunga Din,' a pulp update of old Hollywood action movies.

It was a pleasure seeing The Mummy Returns back on the big screen, it truly brought back that sense of childhood excitement. Such an entertaining film. It’s a shame that movies today don’t quite capture that same spirit.

One of the best and most underrated movies of all time specially a sequel with worthy characters and most action thriller which means that our heroes got their next adventure in the series and also makes me enjoy more of this franchise. A+

This is a good bad movie but what I expected to be a rinse & repeat sequel ends up having its own identity with plenty of memorable scenes. The story has some thoughtful progression to the characters & lore of this franchise. Lots of fast paced chase scenes & shootouts with big set pieces that all carry a tone of globe trotting adventure. Such a puzzling inconsistency of visual effects with some that look great & others that are egregiously horrid. Full of dumb fun but it’s all thin & tiresome by the third act with an excessive use of plot armor & painfully convenient writing.
