Bill T. @btreakle Apr 27, 2026 “Daydream Believers “ The Monkees story This is another About the monkeys and their rise to stardom in the sitcom about four guys who are in a band. The producers of this show never intended for these four guys to be real musicians or a band as it were. However with the release of their first song the monkeys rose stardom even though they never really played their instruments in the beginning. This is their story about the rise of stardom and how they quickly transformed into a real band. I have to say the actress that portrayed Michael nesmith and Peter tork and Davy Jones and Micky dolenz did a good job even though they really didn't resemble the actual actors. Then listen to records for the rest of the day. Heady times (no pun intended- we were far too young) The actors nailed the parts and grew more like the real Monkees as the Film progressed. Great casting I thought. Great soundtrack. If you watched the goofball series as a kid, this is for you . See more Ava T @RT77374624 Sep 8, 2025 Yo everyone hating makes me feel like a loser, I finished the series saw this on YouTube and decided to watch it, I thought it was enjoyable and I laughed at some of the jokes and references and I also liked the casting they look pretty similar to the actual monkees the only one who doesn't is the casting for davy but it's close enough it's pretty hard to find another dude with a baby face so yeah I thought it's good not perfect but doesn't deserve the hate See more K M @RT46002533 Jan 8, 2024 Poorly written, over-the-top acting, this film has the quality of a home movie. It's an embarrassment. The only positive is that the actors bear some resemblance to the actual Monkees. Horrible fake English accent, butt chin, horrible acting, it's like they picked the first short guy who walked in because the outfits fit. Other than that, the movie was pretty good. I loved the Monkees even more than the Beatles, so this was a nice walk back through time for me.
