It's not exactly what the Minister of Justice wants to be doing: watching an endless stream of video footage. But a former police officer is very insistent. Together, all this footage -- from hidden cameras, phone taps, Skype sessions and security surveillance -- can tell an interesting story. The focus here is on an obscure bookstore where a group of environmental activists are meeting in secret. Idealistic Winnie and her boyfriend Conrad want to disrupt the G20, but aren't aware that they are possibly being lured into a trap.

11/22/2021 Lone Wolf (2021) is an Australian found footage film. Advertised as near future thriller....it is not either of those things, it is a collection of security and home camera footage shops (mostly of a book store) that tell the very slow tale of a crime gone wrong. The plot and characters are too simple to engross the viewer, coupled with the cheap look of the film it will likely bore most viewers. Hugo Weaving Appears only in brief segments in the movie (maybe 5 minutes worth) that serve mostly as the framing device for the "footage". Found footage movies only work in horror movies (and to a lesser extent documentaries). In this one, it just makes the film seem like a failed experiment by a film student. 1 1/2 stars out of 5. Not to be confused with the other Lone Wolf (2021) about a "furry" axe murdering people. See more Read all reviews
