Monke D @RT79301373 1 day ago Honestly i went into this thinking it was gonna be abysmal dogshit due to word of mouth, but honestly it wasn't as bad as i thought it was gonna be, not anything amazing but i had a decent time with it, though its not without flaws. Message of the movie was good in concept but executed poorly during some parts, most of the characters were either bland or just unlikeable aside from 3 characters that were actually really enjoyable to watch, the pacing on some parts was kinda bad, especially when the movie could have been cut down a LOT if they cut down some of the dragged out jokes, but honestly some of the jokes did land and gave me a good laugh, animation is good at times but bad in others parts, tho for 3 animators its pretty impressive. overall, at its best it made me laugh and at its worst it just made me cringe, which isn't inherently a bad thing for a clear satire, tho personal taste is subjective so I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, these are just my honest thoughts. 🤷 See more Tonia L @TiredTomato 1 day ago Just watched this film. As an older member of the LGBTQ community, I thought it was very funny, once you understand the tone the film takes toward various stereotypes. I also appreciated the struggle of the protagonist (amidst the absurdity) to see herself positively, rather than depending on someone else's opinion of her for self-esteem. They are trying so hard to make being gay a character trait for the main characters, the jokes don't really land, and is so vulgar and overly sexual that it actually pains me. There were a couple of jokes that made me giggle, but most of them just either flew over my head because I didn't know they were jokes, or they weren't funny in the slightest. I do not hate this movie because it is overly LGBT, I hate it because it's an awful representation of what it is like to be gay.
