McDowell is perhaps the perfect choice to play Cecil, not because the part demands something no other actor could provide but because his very familiarity creates a mask of ambiguity that the film is able to exploit.

I really enjoyed this. It's great to see Malcolm McDowell's extraordinary talents put to such good use, in a memorable role. The supporting cast is excellent including Bernadette Peters and Mary Steenburgen. And a great introduction to James Paxton, son of the late, great Bill Paxton! The film is funny and exciting but mostly has a great heart. The last scene in particular will really pull at your heart strings.
