Then, when you add in Casey’s relationship with a woman named Alex, it gives the movie an unexpected emotional element. However, as the film shifts from being psychological to supernatural, it begins to become conventional and switches from the obstacle being Casey's mental health struggles to an actual entity that becomes the villain. Stylish cinematography and creepy effects add to the phantasmagorical confusion of the mystery. Slowly, the pieces of the puzzle reveal themselves, often adding twists that change your perspective on the story. A great indie offering.
