Bold, clever, and increasingly unsettling and the writing knows exactly when to give you an answer and when to make you realize you were asking the wrong question. What begins as a classic whodunit gradually becomes something far more psychological and poignant. To the person claiming it's "Shutter Islandy" Identity came out long before Shutter Island and Shutter Island is molded after The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. Just bought the Identity 4k because I wanted the newest transfer despite owning the DVD and Blu-ray. It's a fun ride for spooky season or any time of year.
