When monsters want to get away from it all, they go to Count Dracula's (Adam Sandler) Hotel Transylvania, a lavish resort where they can be themselves without humans around to bother them. On one special weekend, Dracula invites creatures like the Invisible Man, the Mummy and others to celebrate the 118th birthday of his daughter, Mavis (Selena Gomez). However, an unforeseen complication unfolds when an ordinary human unwittingly crashes the party and falls in love with Mavis.

Hotel Transylvania is such a fun and wholesome movie. I loved how it takes characters we normally think of as scary and turns them into a funny, lovable family. The comedy works really well, especially with Dracula trying to protect his daughter while slowly realizing that he cannot control every part of her life. The characters have so much personality, and the animation makes the whole world even more enjoyable. What makes it special for me is that beneath all the jokes, it is really about family, love, trust, and learning to let the people we care about make their own choices. A perfect movie to sit back, laugh, and enjoy with the whole family. Definitely one of those animated movies that leaves you with a good feeling.

Hotel Transylvania does come off with a pretty good first impression of how the iconic monsters are like with it's wacky humor and quite inetresting story. There is a bit of development with Dracula, although it woould've been better for his arc if it was that deeper that involves being around the people close to him. Overall, this is a pretty good movie.
