It’s a tear jerk for sure but I sobbed and laughed from beginning to end! Great story, great cast (Helen, Kate and Toni) and perfect flow and timing! I put it in my holiday movie category faves including Home For The Holidays and The Family Stone. I am excited to see what else Kate and her son have to collaborate on together.

I thought this was really moving and well done. As someone who’s been through similar experiences with both my parents (without the dysfunction /reconciliation) I thought it was pretty authentic I’d obviously having to take some liberties to make the end watchable. Impressive directing debut. I get that people are annoyed by nepotism but I think that has tainted perceptions. It wasn’t all that syrupy at all.
