Jay W @RT52162311 Mar 23 Chuck Norris and Cannon Films. When those two forces get together you should know that you are in for a stupid fun time. This is clearly trying to be an Indiana Jones type knock off, and it hits all those usual beats fine. Max and Leo are two treasure hunting bros who come across a psychic witch with a treasure map. The movie is at its best when it is just being unapologetically stupid. Unfortunately, its legitimate attempts at humor are too slowly paced to work. I was so thrilled to share this classic with my son. This a a cult classic in the best sense of the word. I would love to host a screening of this during summer movie nights in the park here in NYC. Look at the lineup though: Chuck Norris, Louis Gosset Jr., Will Sampson, Sonny Landham, and John Rhys-Davies! I remember watching this movie a lot when I was younger and enjoying all the action packed, exaggerating scenes, the intense scenes where Tall Eagle was praying/chanting against El Coyote's chanting, and all the funny comical relief.
