Shelby Q @ShelbyLynn 2d I enjoyed this movie. I don't know what everyone's talking about. But given the state of AI as it is today, the fear is definitely real About something going severely wrong. With this movie being as old as it is, I think it's kind of on point with the way and where AI is headed. It's a good movie with a lot of action. A lot of crashes and a lot of explosions, definitely worth the watch. The idea of an all-seeing AI manipulating two strangers into a deadly mission is intriguing at first, and the opening act builds decent tension. However, as the story progresses, it becomes increasingly far-fetched and loses the grounded suspense it initially promised. The action scenes are serviceable, but the plot often leans too heavily on coincidence and overcomplicated tech explanations that strain credibility. The pacing also becomes uneven, shifting between rushed developments and drawn-out sequences that don’t always add much depth. Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan do their best with the material, but they can’t fully elevate a script that becomes less convincing as it goes on. Overall, it’s watchable but flawed. Plenty of car crashes and explosions if you arent bored with that sort of thing. A Sad film with a good Idea ruined. Oh and the accidental bombing of a Funeral - Done better in Eye in the Sky.
