See more Thomas V @TomVee Aug 8, 2026 This is a harrowing movie that effectively creates a sense of foreboding throughout the film, and the sequences on the rapids are grueling. Boorman also captures the beauty Appalachia and the feeling that another world exists deep in those hills where most of us don't belong. Yet there's something missing. The dialogue is so minimal that we don't get any sense of who these characters are, so it's difficult to care about them, aside from wincing at the obvious physical and mental trauma that comes with an ordeal such as theirs. Начало фильма шедеврально, именно ради таких ярких мгновений, как джем Дрю с пацаненком уродом мы и любим кинематограф. Игра каждого актера потрясна. Послесловие после изнасилования предательски забрало полторы звезды, но фильм все равно фундаментален и грандиозен по своей крутости. Определенно, хотя бы раз в жизни стоит посмотреть первую половину.
