Jackson, just felt like a bland movie. It was quite boring, and I really couldn’t dive into it or become interested in what the film was trying to deliver. I felt more like I was constantly playing catch-up, trying to figure out the exact story without ever truly understanding what was going on. I think the screenplay suffered from a lot of rushed writing. The story never felt consistently cohesive, and I kept falling in and out of what it was supposed to be delivering. Samuel L. Jackson is always good at what he does, but even he couldn’t save this film. I think this is definitely one of those movies that is worth missing. It’s been out for a while, and I never even knew it existed until I sat down to review it. That alone tells me it never made its mark on me as someone who watches a lot of movies. Overall, Damaged is a missed opportunity that I really can’t recommend and probably won’t remember for very long. See more Mario R @StarMar Aug 29, 2026 Oh, what could have been. This is a beautifully filmed movie with a top-notch cast and a story that's interesting though predictable. Jackson, Cassel, Capaldi, and McGregor provide strong acting while the grisly murder scenes add some punch. However, the end product ended up as oddly flat and a bit slow at times. I really wanted to like it because I was intrigued by the cast, but this movie follows the same formula. It makes no effort to introduce an element of surprise. The film revolves around about five characters, and when all signs point to one being the killer, it becomes even more nonsensical with the ending. I hope Sam continues to make his money from the Capital One commercials because this was a piece of crap.
