Oz S @Ozsoffy Jul 13, 2026 I finally gave this one a chance after seeing it pop up on Disney+ more than a few times, and curiosity got the better of me. Unfortunately, it turned into a real test of patience. I ended up watching it in five separate sittings because the slow pacing kept putting me to sleep. The movie leans heavily into an uncomfortable atmosphere, with grating sound design and the constant scratching becoming more irritating than unsettling. Instead of building tension, it just became distracting. The one bright spot is the final act. After a long and exhausting journey, the story finally introduces a fresh dynamic that caught me by surprise. It's the only part that feels engaging and gives the film a bit of personality. Sadly, it arrives far too late to make up for everything that comes before it. The experience felt like waiting for an itch to stop... only to realize it's still there when the credits roll. Let me just say she gives a standout performance that shows her deep commitment to the role. She portrays a motivational speaker grappling with generational trauma, bringing real emotional depth and growth to the character. If you’re in the mood for an eerie film with a touch of gore and excellent acting, Control Freak delivers.
