COME WITH ME follows Simon, a working class man who finds his life upended after suffering a traumatic home invasion. Compounded by trouble at his job and the loss of his best friend, and fueled by a rhetoric-spewing radio host, Simon begins a deadly descent into his own mind, trying to rectify the perceived wrongs and cleanse the injustice he starts to see in the world around him.

If you are looking for an action-packed thriller, this movie isn't for you. This is a slow burn. If you want a movie that will make you think and ask questions, this is the movie for you. It is in my opinion deliberately slow. It wants you to sit in the uncomfortableness of it. It wants you to pause and to ponder the questions whether good or bad.

A really labored, and generally stupid movie with a muddled message. It involves a shock jock (Ron Perlman, slumming in a small part) and a grunt working in a machine shop in the midwest. A general air of despair permeates everything, with guns, social unrest, distrust of the government - all presented without any in-depth point of view. The labored storytelling is propelled by the main guy's disillusionment with everything. And then, of course, the finale brings out the guns. Don't bother. It's slow as molasses in January.

Come With Me lingers with you long after the credits roll. It's poignant, raw, and painfully human. Watching it feels exactly like what it portrays: a quiet descent into loneliness, rage, and alienation. Theo Rossi and Ronnie Blevins give gripping and heartbreaking performances that are uncomfortable, visceral, and absolutely devestating. The film is a difficult watch but an incredibly important one. I walked away from it not knowing whether I wanted to cry, think, or just sit in awed silence for a while.
