An assassin tale which lacks interesting ideas about who its characters are, or even wish to be, Code Name Banshee is a cliché-driven, unappealing, rinse-and-repeat exercise in expended bullets, nothing more.

The whole thing is extremely straightforward. There are no twists, no turns, no surprises. The story just plays out exactly as it tells us it will. Even the “big” final act showdown (because we have to have a final act showdown) lacks pizzazz.

Code Name Banshee struggles to be cohesive from the start. The film plays fast and loose with timelines while using bizarre flashback cinematography. The blood-splattering gunplay offers minor thrills.

The premise is interesting enough, but the ending left me with a sense of disappointment due to the story not being fully told. A few examples: If the bad guy wanted Caleb alive, why didn't he have his guys use non-lethal weapons? What actually happened during the handoff? Is Delilah's dad alive and imprisoned?

Took me 25min to watch the entire movie. I did watch the first 15min to get the plot, fast forward..watched a few more minutes, fast forward..figured out the ending. Went to the end to discover I was right & now here I am rating it. Tommy Flanagan did a great job acting as usual BUT he wasn't the main star. So it easy to say this movie sucked. 🎬

Wasted talented portrayal of main Bandaras and Lie characters. Lots of gunfire and killing of bad guys.Main villian is killed in the end..at least justice is served Bullet style.

I found the movie to be slow moving at the beginning and it took too much time to explain things that were not relevant to the overall story. Over half the picture was very slow moving. The action was great when it started, but it took way to long to get there. Overall it is worth a watch to pass the time.
