On the surface, its very right-wing orientated with anti-left and anti-woke sentiments expressed by the protagonist. However, it raises interesting ethical and opinions about whether the 'justice system' of courts and law is really set up to protect victims rather than perpetrators. The dubious and disjointed plot focused on retribution and, as the name suggests 'vigilante justice'. If you watch with an open mind it's interesting. If you watch with a fixed view point you'll either love it or buy a gun. Worth a watch if there's nothing else on, but its not cinematic beauty; rather a political tool. The entire movie is just designed to be a rage bait, drawing support from racists and neo-Nazis from its outrageous scenes of mass murder of immigrants and police officers. Using the worst form of stereotyping to build an image of immigrants as violent rapists, in order to create a narrative of justification, in the film, where the protagonist can murder an entire immigrant family in cold blood. Well done See more Emma T @RT83547278 5 days ago From the offset I had a feeling this film was a flop, from the newsreader pretending to be Bridget jones to the Steven Seagal-style gun loading and exercise scenes, to the media blaming all rapes/crimes on immigrants. It’s incompetent and incoherent storyline about an illegal American immigrant "vigilante" funnily enough coming and killing some bad immigrants but also innocent people doing their job, and utilising bothels makes me think he’s no better than the guys he’s meant to be hunting down The sex scene was weird AF with him continually staring at mould whilst climaxing. Most of the waffling story about him being a landlord in a country he shouldn’t legally be, his dad sending him off to boarding school etc added NOTHING to the story. Plus somehow all people in hospital have a ventilator sitting next to them and sustained a c-spine fracture as they all seem to have a collar on?! So bad it’s incredibly entertaining.
