After the cataclysmic events in New York with his fellow Avengers, Steve Rogers, aka Captain America (Chris Evans), lives in the nation's capital as he tries to adjust to modern times. An attack on an S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague throws Rogers into a web of intrigue that places the whole world at risk. A real turning point in the Marvel Universe as it experiments with new genres, with tremendous action throughout. it’s not perfect, Robert Redford seems ill-at-ease, but eight years on it’s still terrific.

action packed and just a fun time. very few lulls in the action, but usually those lulls are filled with pretty people in various stages of undress but no smut.

One of the best Marvel movies. That begginning scene alone was so good. Reminded me of Metal Gear Solid. The action and plot were amazing. I also much prefer this suit, instead of the one with the ridiculous helmet that looks like a chamber pot.

8.5/10 Definitely another turning point for the MCU, Winter Soldier is notable for having a much more serious story and having probably more suspense-ridden action. With that said, some things hold it back in my opinion from being the best. For example, some lore and storytelling isn't expanded upon (when did they develop that level of mind control/mind wiping tech and where has it been since then?) and the really janky opening with janky dialogue.

The best Marvel movie. Part superhero movie, part political thriller. One of the Marvel movies that you can watch as a standalone without worrying too much about the greater universe continuity. Extremely re-watchable as well. Highly recommend!
