It is 1941 and the world is in the throes of war. Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) wants to do his part and join America's armed forces, but the military rejects him because of his small stature. Finally, Steve gets his chance when he is accepted into an experimental program that turns him into a super soldier called Captain America. Joining forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), Captain America leads the fight against the Nazi-backed HYDRA organization.

"Captain America is just a strong guy with a shield", I used to think. Captain America is the definition of persistence, bravery, strength, love, loss and love for the homeland. It's a classic, and yet a amazing film. Absolutely epic.

I’m rewatching the MCU movies, and I gotta admit that this film is definitely the second-best after “Iron Man.” Not only was Chris Evans a perfect pick for Captain America, but this film has a fantastic twist on superhero media; being more of a war movie or time-piece. Additionally, the plot is solid, the other characters are memorable, the music is great, the suits are fantastic, and thus film is fairly emotional and funny at times.
