Recently divorced mom Lauren (Drew Barrymore) and widowed dad Jim (Adam Sandler) let their friends push them into a blind date, which goes disastrously wrong. Unsurprisingly, neither wants to see the other ever again. However, fate intervenes when both Jim and Lauren, unbeknown to each other, purchase one-half of the same vacation package at a South African resort; they and their children are forced to share the same suite and participate in a slew of family activities together.

It has become something of a tradition to dismiss the latest Adam Sandler movie outright or, if one is feeling particularly generous, damn it with faint praise. Blended is no exception to this strategy.

Much of the humor is Sandler boilerplate stuff but a musical montage when Sandler realizes his daughter isn't just a tomboy anymore is funny and worth a look.

Blended is my all time favorite movie! It is a perfect mix of comedy and romance along with family fun. It is the best way to spend a calm Sunday in Summer when you are having a family movie night.

16%? Really? Cheesy but charming. Why does every Adam Sandler movie have an emotional gut punch? Also, Drew Barrymore should be his love interest in every movie he stars in. Best Character: Jen (I needed more of her. She was hilarious.) Best Quote: "I may have misread that situation." - Mfana Best Scene: Lauren singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" in Africa

Synopsis
