Ridley Scott ought to be a set decorator, rather than a director. In Blade Runner, he loses sight of the story while devoting all his attention to decor and lighting. The decor and lighting, it must be admitted, are stupendous.

Watching this repeatedly, I feel plot gets simpler each time. I remembered when I saw it for 1st time, I thought plot was a bit complicated for some reason. This is still a masterpiece of which its sequel is a far cry from it. I saw double feature of both movies at an anniversary showing & sequel was so slow & boring. Obviously sequel will have latest in CG & you wud think it blows away those FX from original made in 1982 but original movie actually looks better!

A good watch. i wish it had had more psychological thriller stuff. The beginnign with the turtle is as good as film gets.... They also could have had the androids use sex as a temptation way way more.......
