Chalamet conveys all of the necessary contradictory emotions to portray an addict, paradoxically both in love with, and repulsed by, his own tendencies and actions. It's bravura work.

Nearly perfect film. The repetition and relapsing creates a really tragic story. Steve Carell and timothee Chalmet were the perfect cast. I understand why people find the music jarring, but i think it added to the tragedy and uncertainity of Nic's sobriety. The movie in itself felt a little long, but there is not a single scene I would cut, every detail was meticulously thought out. This is definitely in my top 5 movies.

It’s one of my comfort non comfort movies, everyone’s acting here was phenomena. Especially nick and his dad the relationship was so beautiful and gut wrenching. I would recommend anyone to watch this movie at least once, it really changes you in some way. It’s one of the best movies I’ve seen of the portrayal of drug addiction and mental health.

I loved the movie, I do feel like it had a slow start in a way but maybe it’s just my attention span but ended so well it’s up there with my favs movies. It was so impactful and just left something in me.

The acting moved the story in such a satisfying manner. It created an emotional depth that made the story feel real. I do wish that some moments called for different actions but I do understand that it’s depicting real life.
