When straight-laced Princeton University admissions officer Portia Nathan (Tina Fey) pays a recruiting visit to an alternative high school, she receives some news that catches her way off-guard. John Pressman (Paul Rudd), head of the school and Portia's former college classmate, has surmised that his student, Jeremiah, is the son that Portia secretly gave up for adoption. Portia puts her career at risk by bending the rules for Jeremiah but also discovers a life and romance she never imagined.

Portia is in many ways a typical [Tina] Fey character but the unfunny and clichéd script too often reminds us this is no 30 Rock.

It is neither a broad comedy nor a dopey rom-com; it's actually, surprisingly enough, a seriocomic drama in something resembling the Alexander Payne mold, a slightly eccentric examination of flawed people doing their very best.

Admission has some funny moments and it has some poignant moments. Unfortunately, the film never seems quite able to determine what its focus should be. This results in a movie that never quite clicks.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

I love watching Tina Fey work her magic! Paul Rudd acts well, also. It's nice to watch a movie and not be worried something from the "woke" generation is going to be put in. I'll probably need to update this review in the future, since I haven't seen this as recently as I meant to.
