There is so much to admire about the skill involved in the stop-motion craft, but all films, regardless of their devices, rise or fall on their story, which is abstract and unengaging in $9.99.

I'm certain that in this film there is a big profound lesson of some description, but for the life of me I have no idea what that lesson is and I've watched this movie twice.

It's an animated feature film, showing life and struggles of a few people in a city. They belong to different age has different background. There are a few good elements, but, not really great. They should have developed the Angel character and added more depth and connection to the stories.

At first it seemed like a boring screed I've heard a million times about how disconnected modern society is, but the stories all go in interesting directions, and Rosenthal has a deft editorial touch so I ended up settling into its mood and enjoying myself. The old man was fun; I love it when characters just roll with all the weird shit that's happening around them without batting an eyelid.
