For one, I completely forgot how enjoyable it is to see a movie shot entirely on film, with thoughtful uses of contrast and color grading in almost every shot. It isn't entirely monochromatic or plastically artificial, like what I've been seeing in movies shot entirely in digital format in recent years. The old analog film format carries over something that feels more organic to my eyes while watching the movie. Also, my reactions to the characters are a bit different than my previous viewing. Especially with the main characters and a few supporting characters, they have a little bit of nuance and a purpose behind their behavior. So, I've become a bit more relaxed and receptive with the characters in the story. See more Krystal C @Honest_opinions Jul 20 This movie is a classic and one of my family’s favorites. See more Kau M @KauaMiguel May 24 An extremely immersive idea, atmosphere, setting, and world-building, but it fails to develop tension throughout the journey that could have been something like The Mist, but even so, it entertains me in terms of aesthetics and immersion, but it's inevitable to feel that the film loses its way and needs to explore more of its own ingenious devices.
