It takes the original’s tight, pulse‑killing terror and wrings it dry, leaving behind a limp, tension‑free knockoff that feels like someone tried to recreate greatness after skimming a plot summary. The acting is under all criticism and terribly fake. The film is shot somehow in a rushed manner which makes it even more boring. Unlike the original version, this film is shot with a much more modern camera which gives a feeling of a cleaner and more shiny image of the picture but takes away its realism. I liked the overall vibe and atmosphere, it definitely tries to create tension and chaos, but everything else fell flat. The acting was terrible, the characters felt unrealistic, and the whole idea of locking down one building while police and firefighters are trapped inside without any information just didn’t make sense. It’s hard to stay invested when the story logic is so weak. The ending wasn’t satisfying either, and while I understand this is a remake of another film, I still expected much more.
