Troy W @RT06603687 4d Such a good idea for a movie could have been like Godfather meets Southern Comfor but instead they give us this iv seen third rate made for tv movie with better production values. Way Way to many over used stereotypes on both sides of the action. both on the Hilbilly and the Mafia side. And if you are gonna use the frickin Itailen mob for the I dont know the 500 billionth time you gotta do it right Not just put in really really exaerated stereotypes and clichés . With all the star power you can pack into a almost 2 hour movie. Paxton,Swayze and Neeson playing brothers is a hoot. Throw in stiller,hunt and a Baldwin brother you got yourself a good idea but some of the dialogue was cringy. I can't believe siskel and Ebert named this one of worst of 1989 ( along with harlem nights) is crazy. So pack some sandwiches and load your guns because you're in for a treat. See more jon c 10/21/2019 Another one of Patrick Swayze's earlier works which is actually a lot of fun as a simple revenge flick He plays a cop named Tate who's brother gets killed by a member of a mafia crime family His wife is played by Helen Hunt who's a violinist One of his brothers played by a young Liam Neeson decides to go vigilante on his own to get justice Of course he gets knee deep with the crime family going after each one Neeson actually gets more screen time than Swayze surprisingly but gets to show some of his early action skills Plus you see that brotherly bond truly show Both of these families are at war with each other in order to balance the scales The final showdown is actually very exciting as armies of both load up to finish things off The pacing is very brisk as well as it gets right to the cusp of things We can always rely on family to take care of each other whether it's the loss of a loved one or settling a score, protecting each other is way more important than proving you're in charge Swayze and Neeson are both really good as siblings for a simple plot that's still a decent watch See more Read all reviews
