I was so impressed this lawyer stuck with the case and put so much work into it for social justice in the third world, way to go! Plus Nicaragua is close to my heart also :) See more 10/23/2010 Extremely impressive documentary about a lawyer taking up the fight for Dole banana plantation workers in Nicaragua, suffering from illnesses related to pesticide use. I strongly recommend it to anyone interested in activism, the law (especially international law and jurisdictional matters), and where your food is coming from. A See more 08/15/2010 A very long and cheaply-made film with Nicaraguan locals affected by the pesticides once used over the banana plantations. I felt the entire camera work really lacked taste. Would of loved to see a main person telling the story (in the way of a documentary) and they could of shown us actual footage from the plantations from the 1970s, which would of made it more real to our eyes and more touching. Too bad this was one big boring case, with lots of boring footage. Ended up shutting it off throughout. See more Read all reviews
